LOS ANGELES — Since the start of the pandemic, an alarming one-in-five healthcare professionals have quit their job. The exodus of the exhausted has left behind an understaffed, overwhelmed industry operating beyond capacity in the midst of a public health crisis with no end in sight. Though according to business educator John Patterson, “There is hope, realistic hope.”
Doctors, nurses, administrators, and staff left behind are struggling to cope with a crisis beyond the scope of skills taught in medical schools. Those who have moved on are looking for ways to reinvent and revive their healthcare careers. In response to the crisis, leading business educators and medical professionals have teamed up to offer burnt-out healthcare providers a professional lifeline.
On March 1, 2022, at 5 PM Pacific, Influential U, one of the world’s leading advanced business education programs, will present Code Blue: A Lifeline for Healthcare Careers in Crisis, a free 90-minute webinar featuring a panel of experienced healthcare professionals from around the world. Panelists will offer practical insights on the new skills needed to adapt healthcare careers to survive the current crisis and thrive beyond it.
